RATED aims to provide a summary of the empirical evidence to inform a balanced individualised approach to assessment and to contribute to effective and ethical practice.
RATED provides relevant research information on each assessment tool included in the directory, which includes (but is not limited to) validation evidence.
RATED provides an impartial and factual account of the strengths and limitations of each instrument for assessors to consider when applying a tool as part of a holistic risk assessment process.
Within the Risk Tools tab, you will find more than 61 tools evaluated, including more categories of assessments, e.g. Learning Disability / Internet/Stalking and 3 categories of Youth Assessment. This now also includes an evaluation of the applicability of these instruments with certain groups including - female, ethnic minority and mental disordered offenders.
